great central spot for weekend explorations and park views

I stayed here for one night and really appreciated how close everything was to our hotel, especially the National Museum of the Marine Corps which is less than 5 minutes away and some lovely parks nearby that made for perfect strolling. it's a shame the hot water took a while to kick in, but overall, it was a fantastic base for our adventures in the area.

The property was fine until the manager asked us to leave for using two towels to clean my dog's cage due to an emergency. Their lack of understanding after our long patronage was disappointing.

We took our kids for a weekend getaway, and they loved the pool and game room – such a nice way for them to unwind! The lounge area offered comfy seating for us to relax after a busy day. One small hiccup was the Wi-Fi speed, but it didn't take away from our fun time overall. 😊

the fire alarm went off. and it was annoying. but the mini fridge was handy, the bathroom was clean, and the staff were friendly when we checked in.

I had an amazing two-night stay in the Beautiful Double Room with Two Double Beds! The bed was super comfy, and I couldn't get enough of the refreshing coffee each morning. Plus, the location was perfect for our little getaway with easy access to local attractions and a lovely garden area to unwind in.

The bed was super comfy and there was a flat-screen TV to enjoy. The room had a nice microwave and refrigerator, which made it easy to store snacks. Had a private bathroom with free toiletries and towels. The coffee in the morning was good. They had nice sun umbrellas by the pool too.

Plus, the private balcony was a nice spot to catch a breeze. I also loved the spacious rooms and the complimentary coffee in the main office. Total win!

Now, the flip side—my room was a mess, barely cleaned, with odd smells lingering around. It felt like a slap in the face with how uninviting everything was. We had to switch rooms due to a lack of communication and cleanliness.

Stayed in the Deluxe Double Room for 2 nights. The bed was super comfy, and the room seemed nice enough. Coffee in the morning was a nice perk. But the situation with the property manager was a bummer. Had to use a couple of towels for my sick dog and he wasn't cool about it. Pretty disappointing vibe overall, especially since we usually spend a lot here.

Just a balanced option for one night in Dumfries with good value for money. The towels were very soft and clean. Make sure to check if the TV's working before settling in.
